The South Course is currently closed for upgrade maintenance work. A €7 million investment into improving the course is underway, in collaboration with GEO Foundation to ensure sustainability and reduce environmental impact. The South Course will reopen in September.
Championship par-72 course. Redesigned in 2014 by renowned architect Beau Welling with former European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley. The new layout has been built to the highest specifications, with an investment of €9 million.
The crown jewel of Quinta do Lago. A favourite among European tour players, the 6,500 metre par 72 is set among umbrella pines, lakes and wild flowers, overlooking the serene Ria Formosa Natural Park, and varying difficulty challenges golfers of all levels.
Originally an orange grove, the par 72 championship course is situated 2 km east of the resort, in the Ludo Valley. Boasting spectacular fairways and well-defined greens, Laranjal is renowned for its five beautiful lakes, umbrella pines, cork-oaks and orange trees.
Founded in 2011 by the captain of the 2014 Winning Ryder Cup team, the academy aims to cultivate and improve golfers by providing them with the tools and techniques used by professionals on tour.
The only facility of its kind in Portugal and one of the few in Europe of its calibre. With state-of-the-art facilities and technology, designed to evaluate your current level and significantly improve your game.
A driving range with an impressive back-drop will improve your long game, a new short game area, developed by Beau Welling and Paul McGinley and offers a chipping green, putting green and pitching area.
