Each night begins with a live edible art co-creation between Dutch master chef Angélique Schmeinck and the resident chef of the restaurant. In front of guests, they compose an edible painting together, merging artistic instinct with the chef’s signature ingredients and culinary voice.
From that first brushstroke of flavour, the evening evolves as a continuous journey. The painting is not a prelude, but the beginning of a dialogue that flows seamlessly into the courses that follow. Each dish carries forward the textures, tones and inspiration of the artwork, creating a progression that feels both intentional and immersive.
The chefs of Casa Velha, Casa do Lago and Umami shape their menus in close collaboration with Angélique Schmeinck, translating her artistic philosophy through their own distinct identities. The result is a collection of signature creations, crafted exclusively for these evenings and united by creativity, craftsmanship and the unmistakable spirit of Quinta do Lago.
