The Quinta do Lago Group is recruiting Golf Course Maintenance Greenkeepers (M/F) for the Greenkeeping Department.
Previous professional experience in golf course maintenance or similar roles
High proactivity and dynamism
Attention to detail
Able to work as part of a team or individually
Knowledge of the proper care and upkeep of golf courses
Punctuality and attendance
Ability to communicate effectively with management and colleagues
Comply with health & safety standards at work
Driving license
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the daily maintenance of the golf courses and areas under the responsibility of the Greenkeeping Department
Prepare golf course surfaces for daily play using a variety of hand tools, specialized equipment, rakes, shovels, brushes, etc.
Uses a range of light hand held and pedestrian equipment to assist in the daily maintenance of the golf courses
Use specialized equipment during projects and periods of reactive maintenance, including, but not limited to: aeration equipment, mechanical chain saws, trenchers, debris collectors
Use tractors and trailers to transport debris and materials
Assist in the irrigation of golf courses
Assist the supervisors by actively monitoring all surfaces for disease, weeds, insect damage, after cut appearance issues and mechanical defects
Changing the position of flags and brands on the tees
Alignment of bunkers
Performing routine maintenance on the machines used
