Food and Beverage Manager (M/F) Department — F&B - Food and Beverage


The Quinta do Lago Group is recruiting candidates for the position of  Food and Beverage Manager (M/F).

In conjunction with the F&B Director the  F&B Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the outlets, events, including housekeeping.

Specifically responsible for the management of all team members that the required training and standards of service are delivered consistently and that opportunities to maximise revenue are fully utilised.

  • Working experience in similar position for 4 years
  • Hospitality degree
  • Experience with needs assessment techniques, quality standards and satisfaction evaluation techniques
  • Familiarity and interest in industry’s latest trends
  • Hands on experience with guest relationship management software
  • Proficiency in English, multilingualism will be considered an asset
  • Excellent problem resolution skills along with outstanding communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Professional presentation

Key Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Food and Beverage Director  to develop the team through continuous training, communication and motivation to maximise their potential and the success of the operation
  • To liaise with the HR department and Food and Beverage Director in the recruitment and selection process for any future vacancies within the company
  • To ensure that the budget targets for revenue, payroll and operation expenses are adhered to for all outlets
  • Liaise with each Outlet Manager and Head Chef that all agreed standards of food and drinks presentation and service are maintained consistently
  • To maximise any opportunities for increasing the revenue in the restaurants, bars and events
  • To be part of the development of new F&B promotions and beverage activation programs
  • Assist in Capex and new developments
  • To liaise with the Food and Beverage Management to ensure that adequate staffing levels are in place for the functions that are scheduled in
  • To ensure that all outlets are maintained in a clean and tidy state at all times prior to guest arrival
  • To ensure that the outlet menus and wine list are up-to-date
